# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • It looks impressive but requires almost no effort, just a few minutes of prep and the oven does the rest.
  • The contrast between creamy melted cheese and tart cranberry jam is addictive, especially with crunchy bread.
  • You can assemble it ahead and bake it right before guests arrive, making hosting feel effortless.
02 -
  • Don't skip scoring the top, it prevents the cheese from puffing up unevenly and helps the jam melt into every bite.
  • Keep a close eye during the last few minutes of baking, overcooked Camembert can turn rubbery instead of luxuriously creamy.
  • Let it cool for just a minute or two before serving, it will be molten hot straight from the oven and you want it gooey, not scalding.
03 -
  • Always buy Camembert in the wooden box, it makes baking seamless and adds rustic charm to your presentation.
  • Toast your nuts just until fragrant, they'll continue to darken slightly in the oven and burnt nuts can turn bitter.
  • Serve with a small spoon so guests can scoop out every last bit of cheesy goodness from the dish.
